Children's Geilo - Family vacation

The children love Geilo! Geilo is recognized to be a children’s paradise! You will find activities especially for children of all ages, both summer and winter, outdoors and indoors.   Hotels The largest hotels provide special play rooms for children and swimming pools. For the ones of higher age there are pool tables, table tennis and much more.   Activitites On the farm Langedrag, both young and old can wander around and experience the pleasures of petting domestic animals. CHILDREN AREAS

In the Ski resort there are children’s slopes, sledging slopes, treasure hunts, cross-country skiing orienteering, ski schools and great skiing tracks that are suitable for children.  

Children can try self-timer slopes where children test their skiing skills through automatic timing. Cross-country skiing orienteering was one of last year's great successes, and children can also take part this year.
 
The youngest children may also enjoy spending time at the Trollklubben kindergarden at Geilolia while the adults are out on the slopes... This is an approved kindergarten for children from 1-6 years of age. From 20 December until 20 April, guests at the ski centre can pay for a few hours or whole days at the kindergarten.  

Trollklubben has a 1 meter high jump and humps for the children to enjoy themselves on.

The Kikutheisene Ski Lifts

The new area for children at Kikut has already proved very popular. Everything has been done to ensure that children can have safe skiing and winter experiences. The Hufseheisen lift is 240 metres long and is wide enough for both adults and children. You can also use our 84-meter-long conveyor belt as much as you like. If you need a break from skiing, we have approx. 15 snow racers which you can borrow free of charge and use on the sledging slope, which is separated from the slalom slope by a safety net. On the David slope, a free Self-Time (automatic timing equipment) has been installed, which enables you to test yourself or compete against others. There is also an igloo at the edge of the children’s area, which is open for visitors, and where it is also possible to play on the ”snow climbing hill".
At Kikut, there is a special sledging slope for small children cordoned off from the ski slope in an area near the Hufseheisen ski lift. There, they have 15 snow racers that are lent out free of charge.

Geilolia Skisenter

The Trollklubben children's area situated at Geilolia Skisenter has been excellently designed with children in mind. The  children’s activity area is cordoned off and has its own ski lift, fun figures, moguls, jumps and sledging, making days spent there exciting and educational. Geilolia Skiskole ski school also has exciting and varied activities to choose from. At Trollklubben, there is a special children's sledging slope cordoned off from the ski slope, where sledges can be borrowed.

Slaatta

At Slaatta there are great children's ski slopes and a conveyor belt in a cordoned off area for our youngest guests. Let the children have fun on their own ski lift and play in a play house in a special closed off area. Our regular activities, such as the treasure hunt and the family parallel slalom are popular activities in which children can also participate.

Havsdalen

There are also very many children in the Havsdalen area, we have therefore extended the area for children with a new conveyor belt, making it easier for the less experienced. There is also a new play area where it is possible to both ski and sledge. From the new area, children can gradually take bigger lifts and ski on bigger slopes until finally taking the lift right to the top. The area is very suitable for those who prefer easy skiing, with slopes which are long and easy to negotiate. Havsdalen also has one of Norway's longest sledging lopes, for those aged ten upwards.
One of Norway's longest sledging slopes, approx. 1,800 metres long, is situated at the Fjellheisen ski lift. Hire a toboggan and enjoy the mountain in a new way. We have 25 toboggans which are guaranteed to give you a fast and exciting ride.
 

Taustumpen.

Children are very well looked after in the children’s area at Taustumpen. At the children’s ski lift, there is sledging slope and play equipment for children. You can safely let the children ski or play here while you take the Geiloheisen lift to the top. Taustumpen is situated near the "main gate" to the centre around Geilotoppen, a short distance from the centre of Geilo and accommodation. If you get hungry, Taubanekroa has food to suit most tastes, adults and children alike.
