The Bergen Railway - 100 years old

The Bergen Railway is a 496 kilometres railway line between Bergen and Oslo. It is the highest mainline railway line in Northern Europe, crossing the Hardangervidda plateau at 1,237 metres (4,060 ft) above sea level.

Travel Expert Gary Warner voted Bergensbanen to one of "the ten finest railroad intersections in the world" in the U.S. newspaper Chicago Tribune.
