Ski Geilo - Skiing at one of Norway’s most popular ski resorts

Geilo Skiheiser opened its first chair-lift in 1954. At the opening, with the mayor and county governor in the first chair, the lift stopped at the first mast and was stuck there for over an hour. Things have definitely improved since then.

Geilo Skiheiser currently has 20 ski lifts of different types, and its maximum capacity is more than 25,000 passengers per hour. There are rarely queues, and there are 40 alpine slopes of varying degree of difficulty and length.

Geilo is also a paradise for children, with lots of activities and areas suited for children.
