Hivjufossen
A white-water-fall like Hivjufossen is actually dramatic in several ways. This hike with the Pathfinder is in the roaring noise from the waterfall, alongside the river and up to the beautiful mountain farm-village about 1000 meters above sea level. At this stage the panorama is amazing! During the hike, you will experience a 3D drama! The dramatic water-fall is accompanied by the stories about the farm-hands living nearby. In these stories it flashes in both sweat and knife steel. In addition, the nature has staged its own sets, with great variation and impression.
The hike is in fairly steep terrain.

Skarveranden
This hike should really be called a day in the trapper or hunters kingdom. Hallingskarvet national park has always been associated with hunting. And people have been hunting grouse, moose and reindeer. Some predators has been killed up here to, but that is a while ago. On this hike you will experience a little bit of how it was to hunt in Hallingskarvet, both during the stone-age, and not so long ago. In other words, both gun and spear. Meantime the Pathfinder is shearing knowledge and stories about the national park and the surrounding area. If we are lucky, we might even catch a giggling reindeer, the old fashion way…
