Whether you want cool downhill cycling or a quiet family trip on gravel roads in the mountains, Geilo has something to suit your needs.

Try your hand at downhill cycling or take a quiet family trip. Geilo offers many cycling opportunities. In Geilo Summer Park, you take the chair lift up and cycle on the trails in the ski resort. You can choose between tough single tracks or single gravel roads. Geilo Summer Park also has its own bike trails for the youngest children, from 5 years.

The trail Ustedalsfjorden Rundt goes out from the center and fits both family trips and training rounds. Feel free to visit Fekjo Cultural Heritage Park or take a bath on the fine sandy beach.

The Rallarvegen road was built as a construction road for the Bergen Railway and was completed in 1902. It was voted Norway's most beautiful cycling route by the Cyclists' Association. The Rallarvegen is 80 km long and runs from Haugastøl to Finse, Hallingskeid, Myrdal and Flåm.

You can go cycling daily in the summer season if you want to bring your own bike, or you can rent a bike at Haugastøl, Finse or Geilo.

Having great trails to ride is not a right, but a privilege.

NOTS (Norwegian Organization for Mountain Biking) wants you to think about how you can take care of the paths you travel along, so that the paths can be of benefit to everyone, year after year. Also remember that you also share the paths with non-cyclists.

Therefore, NOTS wants to encourage you to also think about what you can do so that those you meet on your road will experience mountain biking as a positive element of outdoor life.
