The serving cabins in the mountains with a connection to the groomed cross country trails network are popular places to plan your trip. Here you can buy fantastic lunch or sweet bakery snacks of course with something to warm drink.
The turist cabins in the mountains offers both lunch and dinner, and you can book a room to stay the night. Most of them has easy access from the road.
All ski centers has a eateries. After alpine skiing for a few hours, you are guaranteed hungry. There are many eateries directly at the ski slopes. You can reach all eateries by car, no need to ski.
The DNT cabins are only accasible by waymarked trails. Winter skiing tracks are staked, with temporary tree branches or poles stuck in the snow. As branches historically were the first markings used, these on-snow routes are called kvisteruter, literally "branch-marked routes" in Norwegian. Winter waymarking is done for the principal skiing season at Easter, although some routes are waymarked as early as February.
