General terms & conditions

The following general terms & conditions apply to Geilogruppen Booking AS and parties who, directly or through a third party, enter into an agreement with Geilogruppen Booking according to what is stated in the booking comfirmation. Your reservation is settled and confirmed when you receive a confirmation with a valid reservation number. 

 


 

Who is responsible?

Geilogruppen Booking AS is responsible to distribute your reservation and requests to the companies involved. Each company involved is responsible for the delivery of their products and services according to your reservation. Such reservations may contain accomodation, activities, transportation and/or other services presented on our booking pages. A reservation may contain a combination of two or more products and services.  

Please note that any claims or comments regarding accomodation, activities or other services that does not meet your expectations must be made directly to the company responsible. Geilogruppen Booking AS has no responsibility for the delivering of products and services booked and paid through our company. 

 

Payment and security

You will receive your booking confirmation when your payment is confirmed. Geilogruppen Booking AS is liable for all payment transactions through our web portals. We will contact you if any transaction trouble should occur i.e. connected to your credit card. Please note that your reservation will be cancelled if the payment transaction is incompleted. 

Our partner DIBS is liable for safe handling of your credit card information according to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Only Geilogruppen Booking AS, and the provider of each product and services will have access to your name and contact information. For further information about pricacy/GDPR, we refer to our privacy terms & conditions. For more information see www.geilo.no

 

Cancellations and/or changes 

To cancel or amend your reservation, contact Geilogruppen Booking at [email protected] Any cancellation or amendments of your reservation will be confirmed in writing by Geilogruppen Booking AS. 

For cancellations made 7 days or more prior to arrival, Geilogruppen Booking AS will guarantee 100 % refund of the paid amount. For cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival Geilogruppen Booking AS will retain 100 % of the paid amount. Any requested amendments to your reservation is dependent on availability and must be made no later than 7 days prior to your arrival. Please note that one or more of the subcontractors may have separate cancellation policies. Such information will be provided upon reservation. 

Geilogruppen Booking AS is not liable to any exchange rate loss and we do not cover costs connected to international bank transfers. 

 

Insurance

In the unfortunate event of illness, accidents, loss or damage of luggage i.e we strongly recommend our guests to ensure that they are fully covered by a valid travel insurance. 

 

The guests obligations

The guest is obliged to read and follow rules and instructions that apply for travelling, activities and accomodation and is economically liable to any damages caused. Geilogruppen Booking AS and/or their partners may deny or expel guests that behave disturbing and/or cause damage. In such cases no refund will be given. You have to be 18 years or older in order to make a reservation with Geilogruppen Booking AS. Identification may be requested.

Special accomodation terms

-       Check in from 4 pm, check out before 11 am. 

-       Age limit 20 years to make a reservation in connection to New Year´s weekend, Skarverennet and Easter Holiday. 

-       Strictly no smoking indoors.

-       Pets are allowed at some units/rooms. Additional charge may apply.  

-       Between hours 11 pm and 7 am guests must be considerate and keep noise down. 

 

Our partners

Geilogruppen Booking AS is responsibile for paying our partners for the products and services you book through us. Our partners are liable for the delivery of their particular products and/or services including insurances, permissions, equipment, staff and other requirements according to rules and legislations. Age limits and prices are decided by each partner.

 

Force Majeure and reservations

Geilogruppen Booking AS is not liable in case of unpleasant weather conditions, closed facillities or other circumstances beyond our control that may occur. Geilogruppen Booking AS are reserved to any changes in the description of products and services, technical spesifications and price adjustments made by our partners. Geilogruppen Booking as reserves the right to cancel or amend reservations based on misinterpretations or amendments to published price. 

You will get 100% refund if an acitivity or arrangement is cancelled by one our partners, for instance if the minimum number of participants, is not reached.

 

Special Terms & Conditions due to Covid 19 

A number of measures are implemented to ensure our guests safety during their stay in Geilo. We undertake at all times to follow the advice, rules and recommendations that come from the authorities, NIPH and the municipal superior.

We ask you as a guest to follow the authorities’ advice in relation to travel and infection control to prevent the spread of infection. The general advices for infection control in Norway are:

  1. Sick people should stay at home
  2. Remember hand and cough hygiene
  3. Reduce contact between people,  keep at least 1 meter distance from others than your family/close ones

We also ask you to follow local rules / recommendations that are set for the ski resort, accommodation, restaurants and other attractions in Geilo you may visit.  

For all reservations (accommodation, ski school, lift pass, ski rental, airport shuttle) who are affected by Covid-19 restrictions * and which make it impossible for the guest to travel to Geilo, we guarantee cancellation with 100% refund until arrival date. The guest has also the opportunity to change their reservation to a later time at no extra cost.

  • If Norway closes its borders
  • If the country you are traveling from closes borders or advices against traveling to Norway
  • If you have to be quarantined either in Norway or upon return to your home country
  • If the destination is required to close

If you fall ill with Covid-19 or another illness before departure or during your stay, the guest is responsible and must contact their insurance company.

Please note that covid-19 rules, regulations and recommendations are subject to change at short notice. We recommend you to keep yourself updated and, of course, follow the general rules that apply.
